Welcome to our Fundraising page

A huge part of our collaborative journey is working with charities to help them raise much needed cash. We want to use music as a catalyst for change. Have a look below to find out how we do this.

Help us raise £20,000 for this great charity!

The Who

The Collaboration Choir are a collective of adult Pop choirs across the UK with a mission. We aim to do good through music. We try and raise awareness of amazing causes and support initiatives we feel need a platform. For this project we are supporting Cruse Bereavement Support and the work they do for the bereaved.

The Why

Loss of a loved one is an issue all of us will face in life and it’s flipping hard! Attending a choir can be a safe haven for those who’ve experienced loss and are grieving. We wanted to tackle being more open when dealing with the feelings that accompany bereavement. As a community. As a society. Through this charity campaign, and alongside Cruse Bereavement Support, we want to arm people with the tools to grieve openly and better support people who are feeling the weight of loss. We hope that we can become better equipped to cope with the loss of a loved one and support those who are suffering.

The How

We wanted to create a celebratory piece of work that fondly remembered the loved ones we’ve lost. We chose a song called 'There You'll Be' originally sung by Faith Hill. All eight Collaboration Choirs from across the UK came together to record themselves singing the track. For the music video itself we collaborated with storyboard artist Seb Antoniou and Pixelbox Films. Seb digitally drew eight of our loved ones from cherished photographs and they feature in the video as the portraits unfold. Our tribute to those we've loved and lost all in aid of Cruse Beareavement Support.

“When I think back on those times, and the dreams we left behind. I'll be glad 'cause I was blessed to get to have you in my life”

This campaign raised £15,110.87 for Macmillan Cancer Support

The Who

The Collaboration Choir is a group of adult Pop choirs which began in Cambridgeshire but for this project included members from Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire. We were forged with the intention of working for and with our local communities. As part of this collaborative ethos we find original and fun ways to fundraise for charitable causes.

The Cause

This project was in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. Members of Carrie and Lizzie's family have been directly affected by the disease and many of the choir members have been or are undergoing treatment for different forms of cancer daily. We knew we had to lend our voices to something which would make a difference.

The How

Over 400 Collaboration Choir members got together to professionally record the song Reach Out I’ll Be There, originally performed by The Four Tops. They then took to the stage at Cambridge Corn Exchange creating amazing performances singing their heights out and looking truly fabulous. Everyone worked tirelessly to learn the song and practice all the different dance routines and source three vibrant costumes. A few weeks after filming they discovered that the hard drive everything was stored on had corrupted and they'd lost the lot. The video below is version two. A culmination of photos and phone footage to demonstrate as much as we could of the work we'd undertaken. A true labour of stress and love.

“I'll be there with a love that will shelter you. I'll be there with a love that will see you through."

Macmillan Cancer Support is there to do whatever it takes to support people living with cancer. Right now, more than 3 million people are living with cancer in the UK. By 2030 this figure will rise to 4 million.

The charity aims to help everyone with cancer live life as fully as they can, by providing physical, financial and emotional support. They’ll do whatever it takes, no matter what a person’s needs are, they will listen and support them however they need them to — big or small.

This campaign raised an amazing £10,562.41 for Dementia UK

The Who

The Collaboration Choir was forged back in April 2022. It's mantra has always been to work for and with the local community. As part of this ethos we find innovative ways to fundraise for charitable communities that touch our hearts and need our help.

The Cause

Our first ever fundraising campaign launched publicly in October 2022, after a few months of hard work and preparation and was in aid of the wonderful work of Dementia UK. Many of our choir members at the time were being affected by the condition as they cared for loved ones or got diagnosed themselves. Music can unlock so much to those going through it. The cause felt very close to our hearts so we were honoured to take it on!

The How

We recorded a 4-song EP. It included the song Teardrops by Womack & Womack, as it was the first song we ever sang as a choir. All About You by McFly was our second track and that was in tribute to all the singers who make The Collaboration Choir so special. And finally we sang our hearts out to Anyone For You, made famous by George Ezra. All three songs make our toes tap and our hearts soar!

“And I wonder if you really, really know… that as long as I live I will sing my song for you”

My Song - Labbi Siffre
