What kind of choir is The Collaboration Choir?

The Collaboration Choir is an all-new community choir experience opening in Cambridgeshire from April 2022 run by talented Musician Carrie Rawlings. Our repertoire is Pop(ular) songs that make your toes tap and your heart soar. Feel free to send any song requests to us by emailing us HERE.

We’d love to hear what songs you’d like to sing in the future. You don’t need to read music or have done anything like this before so come and collaborate!

Who can join?

Any adults aged 18 or over are welcome at The Collaboration Choir.

Can I have a trial session before committing to the choir?

Yes you can! Just book a FREE trial via our website or click HERE

How long is a rehearsal & what happens in it?

Each choir rehearsal is  90-minutes long and includes tips and tricks to get you warmed up and ready to sing. Each week you’ll then cover one of the brilliant songs from our repertoire, learning harmony parts which layer up, breathing new life into well-known tunes which energise the room into singing their socks off!

Do you have to audition to be in this choir?

No, definitely not! Everyone is welcome. #singingforall is our motto!

How can I join?

It’s easy – just head HERE

How can I learn my songs away from Choir?

You will have access to great online resources to help you learn your songs when you’re not at rehearsal. These will be in the form of Lyric sheets, Mp3’s of the music (per harmony part) and Video Tutorials as and when required.

These can all be accessed by fully paid up members via The Collab Lounge section of our website.

Will I get to perform publicly with the choir?

Yes, that’s the plan. Every term there will be a chance to sing in front of people, if you want to. Our main aim is to collaborate within our local communities and fundraise for those in need through musical events and performances.

Carrie, the founder, comes from a performance and events background so is very keen to get The Collaboration Choir out on the town and has lots of ideas on how to do it. We’d love to hear your ideas too so feel free to share them with your Choir Director.

Do I have to perform with the choir?

Of course not. It’s completely your call. There are performances of all shapes and sizes to get your teeth into though so ask your Choir Leader if you’re interested and you could try a shorter performance to see how it makes you feel.

Does anything social ever happen with choir?

Yes! Not only do we collaborate with you, the singers, the local community in terms of performing and fundraising but it’s also within our remit to spread some Collaboration Choir love to local businesses in the form of social activity. Each choir has its favourite hang out for a drink after rehearsal but we’re always looking for new ways to bring our community together, to try new things and have fun doing it.

Suggestions on this front are most welcome so tell your Choir Leader what’s fun to do socially in your local town and we’ll get to booking something in!

Can you join at any time of the year?

Yes! We run a 10-week Autumn Term, a 10-week Spring Term and a 10-week Summer Term but projects, activities, performances and events happen on top so something is on offer every month of the year. If you’re unsure about when to come along please drop us a line by clicking HERE.

How much does it cost?

There is no charge for your FREE trial week. After that it’s £25 per month.

Can I cancel my membership at any time?

The simple answer is yes but there is a 28 day notice period from the date of cancellation.

To do this head into The Collab Lounge and select ‘Subscriptions & Payments’ within the menu. Once there, scroll down as there’s a cancel button. That activates your 28 notice period, once more £25 payment will be due and one of the team will be in touch to confirm it all.

Your membership will cease 28 days later with a final payment of £25 being taken. You are welcome to attend rehearsals and events during your notice period.
